Hypertension is not only about blood despite the name, blood pressure. The pressure of  the different liquids in the body play roles in the general state of pressure the water in the body is under.  When it is too high it can be as a result of the kidneys, the adrenal glands, endocrine glands, pituitary gland and so on.  The stomach acid is a liquid and so is saliva and tears.
