N31: A Discussion on Cancer and Homeopathy - Part I

Today we will begin a discussion on cancer and the role homeopathy can play in helping the body heal itself, and/or help with the pain and other palliative needs of those patients with a cancer diagnosis. Homeopathy can be used as a primary medicine for cancer if the patient chooses that, and also as a complementary medicine with oncology. In France, around 400 000 cancer patients were found to be using complementary medicines like Homeopathy with their allopathic treatments. Manmade and man-named diseases are very sensitive subjects.  Homeopaths can wonder whether to look at cancer and other diseases that are similar in nature as separate groups of symptoms or as a totality of symptoms.  Where do you begin? As a homeopath, one should approach such complex chronic diseases with a level of comfort.  I personally started with homeopathy as a complementary medicine.  The patient needs to make their own informed choices without being directed towards a bias by any other medical practitioners.  Where is the patient in their needs and understanding.  Helping the patient to understand the limitations of the healing system one is practicing is as important as providing the possible successes. Homeopathy has so much clinic experience and evidence of its help in the different stages of cancer.  Homeopathically we know that the body can reverse anything it creates.  A case study of increasing longevity with homeopathy and the problems that pop up when using homeopathy in a world that sees the impact of homeopathy in the body as a miracle.  Reversing will not always prevent death because it takes about a month to 2 to reverse a certain amount of the disease which may not be fast enough. In this case, the brain tumors would  kill the patient long before the most dangerous tumors could be reversed by the patient’s body.  Nevertheless, by reversing the tumors the body will give itself an extra lease on life of a few months to a year so so – we are not able to determine as each individual is different. Homeopathy tries to bring the system to life, chemotherapy uses the destruction of life to attempt to kill the cancer. All disease starts with a dynamic element of disease and remedies are dynamic in that they create an artificial disease by giving the body nature’s codes. The proving of carcinosinum shows how so many people are going into this state.  The proving of a nosode remedy gives us an understanding of the substance and the disease in this case.  This has helped Homeopathy reach such a deep understanding. Miasms also give us an idea of how long the patient has,  and the pace of the disease.  Cancer is a feeling of immaturity – of not being strong enough, being extended past our human capacity.  Always continuously trying to fix cells will create immature cells which then become cancerous. The environment certainly impacts us, but the feeling of having done something again and again until the system is so ‘tired’ all symptoms such as fever, pain and fear disappear.  Alize Timmerman has experience with using homeopathy with cancer and reminds us to make sure that the patient wants to get healthy homeopathically with cancer because if they have developed cancer after giving up their own needs for years it may not be their choice to suddenly develop their self-confidence and leave their spouse, for example, that they had sacrificed so many years for to make their marriage ‘work’. The Earth always helps but when we put poisons in the body the chance of adapting lowers and the possibility of the end of the organism is more viable for the energy.
