N36: A Discussion on Arthritis and Homeopathy

Allopathic diseases are combinations of symptoms that have been bunched together and are considered a disease that can be blocked or the body can be distracted with decoys. Such blockers used are the SAID’s, NSAID.s and DMARD’s.  Hydroxychloroquine is an example of such a decoy.  Thomas Cowan, M.D. discusses using food as decoys for organ specific autoimmune diseases which demonstrates the use of decoys in his book, Vaccines, Autoimmunity, and the Changing Nature of Childhood Diseases.  Modern medicine also uses drugs to function as decoys as the distract the body away from the problem it is working through and when the original inflammation subsides because the body forgets it is fighting something, they consider it a successful treatment without studying the long-term effect of moving the body away from putting out a fire and then what that ‘fire’ looks like when the body finally remembers to go back and try fixing it again.  Inflammation is the body’s favourite healing tool.

Homeopathic remedies should always be given constitutionally but some very good remedies for the groups of symptoms defined in this disease can be seen in Morrison’s book below.  I have found the carbon remedies and the Anacardiaceae and Ericaceae family of plants to be the most promising. causticum, rhus t, rhus v and kalmia among others.  The remedies to do with movement in comparison to stiff arthritic pain in joints and bones are good choices in this grouping of symptoms
